nursery features!

I am so flattered to have had such wonderful response to our twin nursery! Since the reveal on Design Sponge, it has also been featured on Daily Candy Kids & Lil Sugar. Such an honor, thank you all so much…now we’re just waiting to fill it with babies!

showering the twins!

My french infused baby shower was a success, and a beautiful, memorable day. I got to share it with such lovely ladies…I owe them a huge MERCI for helping to make it so special. It turned out to be a rainy, cozy day…the perfect conditions for a tea party, right?! We dined on Ladurée macarons and tea to the sounds of Piaf, Bruni, and Gainsbourg. I was showered with such thoughtful gifts for les bébés…vintage books, french clothing, and some good old fashioned staples. There are so many people I want to thank for making my day so amazing…but mostly our friends Angie & Tim, and my sweet hubby, whose help was priceless. I’m a very lucky woman! Stay tuned…I’ll be sharing our fun photobooth shots next!

nursery in progress!

Our nursery is in progress…walls have been painted (ignore the blue), closets expanded, floors are in transition. Everything is under way, and I couldn’t be more excited. I’ve been planning my nursery for YEARS. You might find that odd, but keep in mind I’ve been in the baby design business for over 5 years now. It was only natural that I would be taking note of my favorite products and decor along the way…at markets, in stores, and during every client’s custom design. Needless to say, I am extremely excited to finally be making it a reality, and with the exception of a few twin related tweaks (yay!), it is essentially the vision I’ve always had. I’ll be sharing the completed design as soon as it is finished…stay tuned!

loft nursery

One of the coolest modern nurseries I have ever laid eyes on belongs to a friend of mine, Jessica McDougall. It is not surprising, since she is one of the coolest (and sweetest) people I know. We got to know each other when she came to me in Charlotte in search of unique baby decor, and I was honored to help her! My favorite piece is the pint sized wingback chair by Jennifer Delonge, which looks amazing against the thoughtful gallery wall. Her daughter Gabrielle will be in need of a big girl space soon, and I know that space will be full of inspiration as well. Thank you Jessica!

asher’s nursery

I thought I would share this traditional nursery I designed for baby Asher! I combined a french blue fun frog toile, with soft cream and white against rich espresso furniture. The custom wall mural was done by a local artist, and truly captured the essence of the fabric, and the story it tells. In my opinion, this nursery would work for either gender, which gives this room extra longevity, which I encourage!

froggy fun

Here’s a peak of a gender neutral nursery I designed. The client really loved this frog toile fabric (as did I), and so we used it for the drapery panels and custom bedding. We were both really happy with the results, and I thought you might enjoy the sketch!
