The party is over…Marie + Henry are officially one! I can’t wait to share more photos from their bastille day birthday bash, but for now a few sneak peeks will have to suffice. You can see a few more over on fleurishing…here, here, and here. Stay tuned!

My french infused baby shower was a success, and a beautiful, memorable day. I got to share it with such lovely ladies…I owe them a huge MERCI for helping to make it so special. It turned out to be a rainy, cozy day…the perfect conditions for a tea party, right?! We dined on Ladurée macarons and tea to the sounds of Piaf, Bruni, and Gainsbourg. I was showered with such thoughtful gifts for les bébés…vintage books, french clothing, and some good old fashioned staples. There are so many people I want to thank for making my day so amazing…but mostly our friends Angie & Tim, and my sweet hubby, whose help was priceless. I’m a very lucky woman! Stay tuned…I’ll be sharing our fun photobooth shots next!

This weekend is busy with overnight guests, party setup and primping for…my baby shower! My sweet friend Stephanie is hosting, but she has allowed me to do all the planning and styling, which is such a gift for me! This is just a glimpse of the decor, but I will be sharing photos of the big day next week. After my wedding, this is the most exciting event I have planned and looked forward to! Bon weekend!
Do you make gingerbread houses with your children? It was a Christmas tradition every year for my family, and after the oohs and ahhs had been had, the kids got to destroy it! They can be very elaborate, or very simple…these are from the Martha Stewart website, follow the link to see how they are made. Happy candy house making!
I just love this site, filled with fun kids party decor goodies and ideas! It is French, and not as accessible to us here in the states (although you can purchase online), but I love browsing it for ideas and party planning inspiration. Check it out!
It is back to school time, and what better way to make it fun & exciting than with an awesome (and stylish) party?! I just love this, which I stumbled upon over here. It is the creative creation of Leoni, and I think it’s brilliant. My Mom always threw a party for my friends and I, and it really helped to elevate the end of summer and make the start of school an anticipated event. I agree with Amy Atlas, this one deserves an A+!
I’ve been meaning to share this baby shower I co-hosted…I was so happy with how it turned out. It was a collaboration of talents, and it was quite an elegant affair, if I do say so myself. It had a nesting theme (of course), and the guests were treated to champagne, dessert nests, and goodies from Neiman Marcus. I really enjoy party planning (although not my main gig), and look forward to my next opportunity!
