april shower

This weekend is busy with overnight guests, party setup and primping for…my baby shower! My sweet friend Stephanie is hosting, but she has allowed me to do all the planning and styling, which is such a gift for me! This is just a glimpse of the decor, but I will be sharing photos of the big day next week. After my wedding, this is the most exciting event I have planned and looked forward to! Bon weekend!

Paloma’s Nest has once again created a handmade heirloom, one which your children can enjoy for years. Crafted beautifully and personalized with your child’s name…check out all the details on their site. J’adore!

oranges and lemons

Having been part of many retail ventures, I appreciate a good one when I see it. Oranges and Lemons is an adorable local baby and children’s boutique, where I do much of my shopping! Located in Greenville, DE…they just celebrated their grand re-opening in their new space. The cheerful pint-sized space is packed and stacked with goodies for your little ones, including some of my favorite brands such as Bugaboo and Heather Moore Jewelry. Added to that is their generous selection of books, clothing and toys…I dare you to leave without something fabulous! Stop by the new space when you can, and in the meantime you can find them on Facebook and Twitter!

walnut animal society

I am totally in love with these handmade animals by Walnut Animal Society! I meant to share them with you sooner, but you can still order today for Friday delivery. They are so unique, and the clothes are changeable! Henry the Fox is my personal favorite.

creative documentation

The Paloma Poster by Kalon Studios is an awesome way to document your child’s first year. Each piece is uniquely customized to visually detail milestones and memorable moments in their first year. For those graphically inclined, this is especially cool. Framed, it becomes a stylish way to be nostalgic, don’t you think?

hand in hand soap

I just learned of this lovely new business, Hand In Hand Soap, conceived by local Philadelphia photographer Courtney Apple and her fiance Bill. I had the opportunity to chat with them both recently about their new venture, and was inspired to share! With a passion for giving back, they did a ton of research to determine what they could do, and realized that a simple bar of soap could save lives. They determined this was how they could make an impact in a global sense, and set out to produce a fabulous soap that all would enjoy and benefit from. For every bar purchased, they donate a bar to save a child’s life. I know I will be adding this to my gift giving repertoire!
