We recently had the pleasure of exploring the beautiful Chestnut Hill neighborhood of Philadelphia, and discovered this gem of a boutique! Oxford Circus Toys carries all of my favorite handcrafted and european toys…Vilac, Haba, Moulin Roty, Plan Toys…and on and on. It’s a cozy and well curated space jam packed with handmade goodness-I highly recommend a visit! Check out my vine for a quick tour!

Marie + Henry are seven months old today! So this video should thoroughly confuse you as it was taken halfway into their six month with the knowledge that editing time would mean sharing it around Valentine’s Day! My apologies for the tardiness but I think this bit of digital baby love should make up for it. Wishing you all beautiful and life changing love…all year long. If you already have it, treasure it.

p.s… can someone please tell father time to develop amnesia?! ah!

I stumbled upon this gem of a kids craft project and had to share…so adorable!

I have a confession. I took over 1,000 photos in the past few days! Two babies and two first Christmases will do that to a new mom. As you can see, I really enjoyed choosing their holiday outfits (one wasn’t enough). They were perfect models, being especially patient considering mommy is still learning her way around manual mode. Adjusting ISO, aperture, and shutter speed is not ideal when two babies await, but I managed. I really don’t know how professional photographers do it-you must always be ready or you will miss a magic moment. Marie is a riot and laughed when she fell over-knowing she was fine I snapped away and am so glad I did!

Saturday was hectic. We bundled everyone up and ventured out to our local tree farm, same as last year (plus two)! We knew it would be a challenge to juggle two babies and billy while searching for and cutting down a tree, but we were delusional up for it. Here’s how it went down- billy wanted to explore and subsequently fell into a (small) hole, henry started freaking out, marie decided to make a big mess in her diaper, and we began debating whether to call the whole thing off and forget a tree this year. Needless to say these photos were taken before the chaos ensued. Just more evidence that the lives of bloggers are not always as effortlessly beautiful as photos may portray! However-we did bring home a tree, and it is a reminder of our chaotic new life…full of love, laughter, and yes, a LOT of diapers.

This paper city is super fun for any child, especially those who are fascinated with Paris (like our kids will inevitably be)! You know what they say…three is a magic number. As it turns out, it has been quite significant throughout my life, and especially incredible when it comes to our babies. The first two months were a lot of work, with minimal return for our efforts. We were in a sleep deprived stupor most of the time, and newborns mostly just eat, sleep, and poop. The three month mark was a major turning point, for us all. We are more comfortable in our new roles, and they are more at ease in general. All of a sudden, they have become little people! A boy and a girl with two very different personalities, smiles, and fascinations. A curiosity for everything-mommy’s glasses, billy kisses, the sun through the trees, and just last week-each other. It is truly an honor to discover the world again through their eyes…their innocence and wonder is disarmingly beautiful. Three has been absolutely magical, and as much as I want to freeze it in time, I can’t wait for what’s to come. Four is already upon us…this week!
