My french infused baby shower was a success, and a beautiful, memorable day. I got to share it with such lovely ladies…I owe them a huge MERCI for helping to make it so special. It turned out to be a rainy, cozy day…the perfect conditions for a tea party, right?! We dined on Ladurée macarons and tea to the sounds of Piaf, Bruni, and Gainsbourg. I was showered with such thoughtful gifts for les bébés…vintage books, french clothing, and some good old fashioned staples. There are so many people I want to thank for making my day so amazing…but mostly our friends Angie & Tim, and my sweet hubby, whose help was priceless. I’m a very lucky woman! Stay tuned…I’ll be sharing our fun photobooth shots next!

I cannot contain my excitement over this new child-size french empire round table! Restoration Hardware continues to amaze me, and the Baby & Child line just keeps getting better and better. The holiday gifts have also just been announced, and I will have to write about those separately…this table just deserves it’s own space. Swoon!
I just love this site, filled with fun kids party decor goodies and ideas! It is French, and not as accessible to us here in the states (although you can purchase online), but I love browsing it for ideas and party planning inspiration. Check it out!
The latest and greatest from the French talents Famille Summerbelle is this Un Dimanche à Paris wallpaper. Of course I am loving it, and it comes in a neutral colorway as well. I’m really liking the blue though…check them out here!
In honor of Bastille Day, I’m sharing one of my favorite toy stores in Paris! A classic and magical boutique, Au Nain Bleu is filled with the finest toys. They have been a Parisian institution since 1836, in the beautiful and posh 8th arrondissement. Any child will feel like a prince or princess here, and some adults too, hehe…my husband and I got a little carried away. Happy Bastille Day, et Vive la France!
I discovered Bugaboo many years ago and I immediately loved the line for so many reasons and will refrain from waxing poetic. However, if you haven’t seen their website, you must GO! (that’s their tag line). Their daytrips are so imaginative and fun…they collaborate with many artists and writers to cultivate dreamy, interactive maps of domestic and international delight!
I’m sure you know about Sophie…she is in so many homes and held by so many teething babes! Created in Paris in 1961, this adorable natural rubber toy has created quite a following, and their product line has grown incredibly, complete with organics now. In my opinion, it’s a must have for every babe. Happy 50th Anniversary Sophie!
How great are these puzzles of Paris by artist Nathalie Lété?! J’adore!
On our last trip to Paris we made a special trip to Jacadi, one of my favorite baby stores. Of course they have US stores, but why not go to the source when possible?! I love their clothing, but I find their nursery decor is quite charming as well. We fell in love with a few peluches (stuffed animals) and made room for them in our luggage. I’ve been collecting and saving baby items for years as I come across unique items!
